I have a Western Digital 3.5in External Hard Drive. This model comes with the Western Digital Black 500 gig drive. The black drives are Western Digitals most durable drives. I recently purchased a 1T and a 2T drive of the same make. This will make an excellent backup solution for most families. I reformatted the drive and ran the Western Digital diagnostic on it. The drive is in perfect health.
